Susan prides herself on bringing the highest degree of professionalism and integrity to her work as a real estate broker. Helping her clients identify an appropriate goal is the key first step, followed by a total commitment to delivering the best results. Susan’s substantial experience in Manhattan real estate gives her a keen sense of value and an understanding of the marketplace. Her knowledge of real estate finance, her attention to detail and her expert negotiating skills give clients a definitive edge in the purchase or sale of real property. Brokers have commented on her “intelligence, collegiality and complete professionalism”. Appreciative clients have written that they “could not have been given a better guide through the process. . .” and her continuous referrals speak to the high regard of her clients.
After receiving her Ph.D. in Counselor Education, Susan taught at the University of Wisconsin for several years before returning home to Manhattan. A NYC real estate broker for over 30 years, she founded a Manhattan residential development business in 1981, serving as a general partner, a sponsor in cooperative conversions, and a managing agent before joining Brown Harris Stevens in January, 2009.
In addition to her passion for real estate, Susan serves as the Chair of the Board of MCC Theater Co, and has served on a number of other non-profit boards, including The Citizen’s Committee for Children of New York, The Dalton School and the NYC Ombudsmen Review Board. She shares her love of theater and travel with her husband, and is very enthusiastic about having raised two children in NYC. Susan views NYC as a constant adventure: exploring NYC’s many neighborhoods to find new cultural experiences, exciting new restaurants and hard-to-find resources.
Her enthusiasm for getting to know her clients and NYC and her extensive knowledge and appreciation for the quality of life NYC can offer, has resulted in her continued success in marketing properties for sellers and finding excellent opportunities for buyers.
