Before real estate, Lauren spent 25 years in the luxury apparel industry directing retail operations, merchandising, sourcing, and overseeing business development for some of the world’s most recognizable and premier brands including Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Barneys NY and J. Crew. In 1996, Lauren launched DesignerOutlet.com, the first web site for off-price designer clothing on the Internet. She served as President and CEO for ten years.
Lauren, along with her husband, Mike Ehlers, and her two children, Natalie and Gavin are actively involved in the Quogue community. She has served on the Board of Education for the Quogue school district for 15 years (9 as President). She also served as Co-President of the PTA for two years and on the board of directors for the Quogue Association for six years. Lauren currently serves on the Benefit Committee for the Quogue Wildlife Refuge.
