Consistently Ranked in the Top Percentile of Agents (Halstead Real Estate)
Experience, integrity, ingenuity, and tenacity count the most in the world of New York City real estate, as does superior customer service. For years, the Weidberg Team has been delivering these vital qualities to their discerning clients, along with stellar results when it comes to the purchase and sale of residential properties throughout New York City.
This highly respected real estate team, comprising award-winning broker Arlene Weidberg and her accomplished partner Ira Weidberg, has sold in many of the city's most prestigious buildings and orchestrated seamless transactions for both prominent buyers and sellers. Their foremost goal is to translate their expertise into success for their loyal clientele, whose needs span from the Financial District to the Upper East and West Sides, as well as burgeoning neighborhoods across the metro area.
The Weidberg Team's diverse background in real estate brokerage, management, finance, advertising, and law arms them with unique expertise that is well-rounded and invaluable in all aspects of a real estate transaction. Arlene and Ira continually uphold a client-first philosophy that is evident in their excellent track record.
Arlene Weidberg is a veteran Manhattan real estate broker who has earned many coveted awards in her decades of client service, including the impressive achievement of placing in the Top 1% of all agents worldwide at a top firm. During her tenure, Arlene has sold in some of Manhattan’s most prestigious buildings and worked with prominent clients as well as buyers and sellers in all price ranges—always with the same goal to deliver excellence and make their real estate dreams come true.
Whether clients are seeking or selling a home Uptown or Downtown, on the East or West Side, Arlene is the ultimate go-to professional for the most comprehensive, results-driven service. Her dedication, diligence, integrity, and attention to detail that have won her industry recognition have, more importantly, brought her an ongoing stream of referrals and repeat business from satisfied clients with whom she has great relationships.
Believing that knowledge is power, Arlene educates her clients throughout the various steps of the real estate process so they understand everything they need to know (from market conditions to neighborhoods to building specifics) to make the best decisions. She is an expert negotiator and communicator who protects her clients’ interest and keeps them abreast of every phase of their transaction.
Before joining Brown Harris Stevens (then Halstead), Arlene worked for other top real estate companies, plus owned and managed her own real estate company. Prior to that, she honed her financial savvy on Wall Street. Arlene resides on the Upper East Side with her husband and is an active volunteer and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Special Events Committee and Hope Lodge Manhattan. She is also a Member of the Central Park Conservancy and the New York Botanical Gardens. She enjoys reading, music, theater, design, decorating, and travel when her busy schedule allows.
"Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it," said Oprah Winfrey, while preparing for her first marathon. After completing 12 marathons from New York to Berlin, Ira Weidberg certainly has what it takes–persistence, dedication, and determination–to not only finish a 26.2 mile race, but to also accomplish any task in front of him. His competitive nature and drive to succeed are passionately employed as a real estate broker who will do what it takes to achieve your buying or selling goals.
Ira demonstrated these capabilities working alongside his veteran parents in the residential real estate business for many years. He handled all areas of real estate, from answering phones in high school to managing open houses, listings, and showings as an Associate Broker. Ira also gained expertise as a practicing attorney in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, DC, complementing his vast knowledge of the real estate market and enabling him to help all his buyers and sellers to navigate their real estate transactions.
Born on the Upper East Side, Ira has lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn, developing a deep love of the architecture, infrastructure, and grandness of New York City. Currently residing downtown in the booming Financial District, he provides clients a thorough knowledge of most neighborhoods, with valuable insight on the amenities, restaurants, retail, cultural, entertainment, and recreational options each unique area offers.
Ira graduated magna cum laude with membership in Phi Beta Kappa Society, with a B.A. degree in Communications and a B.S. degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Ira went on to receive his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. He worked as an attorney for 10 years in corporate law and compliance and is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
Besides being an avid runner in marathons as well as around Central Park, Prospect Park, and the outer loop of Manhattan, Ira is highly committed to charitable causes. He helped to establish the American Cancer Society’s marathon running program in New York that has raised over $11 million. He also serves on the Junior Board of the American Cancer Society Young Professionals Network and is a volunteer at Hope Lodge Manhattan. Ira is President of the NY chapter of the Texas Exes Alumni of the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a travel enthusiast who has already conquered all 50 of the United States and has ventured all over Europe and Asia from Iceland to China, and is always looking for the next exciting adventure.
