Lisa Young is a tenacious advocate for her clients. With an impressive sales volume, she consistently ranks within the top 1% of agents nationwide. Lisa's exceptional track record includes numerous successful transactions where properties were sold at or above the asking price.

Recognized for her artistic vision, Lisa's listings consistently capture attention both online and in print. Notably, she once staged a Classic Six on West End Avenue for $200. It was an estate sale with no budget in the estate for staging. The apartment sold for a record price for the building during the housing crisis of 2008 and one of the photos was chosen as the cover image for the book, Prewar-Shopping: A Guide to the Finest Manhattan Prewar Apartment Houses.

Lisa holds a degree in Comparative Literature from Fordham University. Before pursuing her real estate career, she worked for several years in theater and film production and is a member of the Writer’s Guild. She was an art dealer and artist’s manager, specializing in introducing painters and sculptors whose works hung in museums in the former Eastern bloc to the US market where they were unknown. She curated exhibitions in regional galleries around the US and made several trips to Russia, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia (as they were then known) and as far as Azerbaijan, both before and after the Berlin wall came down.

Outside of her real estate endeavors, Lisa goes ballroom dancing on most weekends and is a Life Master Bridge Player. She loves to tinker and restore beautiful old spaces which have included an Art Deco apartment from 1939 and an even older lake house in Connecticut. Her current project is the restoration of a 30-year-old, two-cabin cruiser with diesel engines and a teak interior, which she keeps on the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis.

Lisa moved to NYC when she was 20 and fell instantly and forever in love with Manhattan. When not working, she spends more time in the city than at her home, which conveniently sits halfway between Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, and is a stone’s throw from Broadway theaters. A true ambassador for the city she loves, Lisa takes great pleasure in helping her clients fulfill their own Big Apple dreams.
