Jigi’s proclivity in collaborating with others is what initially drew her to real estate. After a successful career in publishing that spanned more than 20 years, Jigi realized that real estate could blend her sales experience with her innate knack for delivering exceptional customer service. "Regardless of what industry you're in, the ability to meet your clients' objectives is paramount," she says. "And in the real estate profession where you're dealt a different hand every day, this requires strategic and creative thinking in every single transaction."
Her passion for real estate and her fastidious, detail-oriented approach are characteristics that have endeared her to her clients. She cites her ability to appreciate and understand people, as well as her ability to retain that information, as essential to helping her identify the right home for the right client. These tools also serve her well in building bonds with other brokers who may ultimately decide which of several competing offers to accept. She says, "Patience, persistence and a sterling reputation go a long way in producing the right result and getting to closing."
Jigi emphasizes early communication with customers so that she can immediately hone in on the most appropriate options, saving time in the search process. “Discerning a client’s lifestyle and needs is critical to ensuring that the client will not have a second thought about the chosen neighborhood, home size or building,” she says.
Jigi holds both a BS and an MBA in Marketing. Along with her husband and two teenage daughters, she currently splits her time between New York City and Bergen County. "I never get tired of spending time in New York," she says. "In my opinion, the fast pace, vibrancy and diversity make it the most interesting and exciting place to work and live in the world."
