“Looking back over the years I can not imagine any other work that would have given me more satisfaction than a career in real estate. I like the continuous challenge of finding the right property for each individual with whom I work as well as finding the right value for each person for whom I am selling. When you sum up this business of being a real estate broker it is the creative aspect which provides a refreshing challenge.” Reticent to talk about himself and his many accomplishments, MacRae Parker is one of two brokers who have served longest with the company, and is one of the most productive brokers in the city. A Yale graduate, Mac Parker joined the firm in 1961 after operating a family farm in Virginia and later selling agricultural chemicals. Being named in various publications several times as one of the city's top residential brokers, Mr. Parker remains focused on luxury co-ops, condominiums, townhouses and lofts. In 2002 he received an award from Brown Harris Stevens for continuous top performance. Off duty, Mr. Parker, an avid reader and gardener, replenishes his energy in the fields and woods surrounding an 18th Century stone house he has restored in Buck's County.
