Trish Martin, Vice President, Associate Broker, joined Brown Harris Stevens after working extensively in the architecture industry. One of the few inter-borough brokers in the industry, Trish represents the growing numbers of residents migrating between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Whether they are leaving Manhattan for Brooklyn, Brooklyn for Manhattan or relocating out of state, her depth of knowledge of these vastly different markets ensures that both the selling and buying side of the process are handled professionally. With a broad background in managing international projects for high profile firms she brings to Brown Harris Stevens a well planned and thoughtful approach to real estate transactions. Her love of and appreciation for the vast architectural offerings of metropolitan markets began years ago! Working side-by-side with the publisher of The Old House Journal, a national magazine focused on the restoration of pre-1939 homes, Trish went on to help found Traditional Building, a trade publication aimed at architects and contractors specializing in the historical construction and renovation of commercial buildings. Trish made the transition from the publishing end of architecture to the project management end in 1990, and in 1995, at the urging of existing clients, went into business for herself addressing the needs of corporate facility services, focusing solely on interior project management. Playing the role of advisor, purchasing agent, and installer, she brought to the corporate world a new approach to managing interior projects which was enthusiastically embraced as witnessed by her roster of clients including Tiffany & Co., The Food Network, St. James Church, The Lycee Français de New York, and MoMA. Committed to supporting the well-being of children, Trish was a founding member of the New York City Cyclones Youth Hockey Program and Scholarship Fund housed in Chelsea Piers. She recently founded Partnership for Independent Means, a not-for-profit located in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn whose mission is to create balance, self-sufficiency and financial stability in the lives of at-risk single mothers and their children. Trish is also the Vice President of the Board of Director for T.O.P.S. for You, Inc., a Bushwick based not-for-profit focused on opportunities for low-income families to stabilize and improve their lives and the lives of others, with particular emphasis on personal self-sufficiency and leadership development. Trish brings her numerous skills and great enthusiasm to Brown Harris Stevens where she works with residential clients negotiating the New York City real estate market. With an emphasis on service and unparalleled support, Trish plays an active role in the success of her clients' real estate transactions. Her level of professionalism, knowledge of the market and ability to take the broad view makes her a valued and trusted resource to buyers and sellers alike.
